I made this card for my sis, who wanted some birthday cards. (She was my first paying customer!) I had lots of fun playing with my new stampin' pastels. So you stamp a pretty image with a versamark ink. It's a clear sticky ink that you can use for lots of things. Then you take a Q-tip and dab some stampin' pastel color on top of the versamark ink. It looks lovely!
Supplies:
- Heartfelt Thanks stamp set
- Itty Bitty backgrounds stamp set
- God's Blessings stamp set
- versamark ink pad
- stampin' pastels
- barely banana cardstock
- old olive cardstock
- whisper white ultrasmooth cardstock

did you notice that this card doesn't use any brown? I'm branching out...
Very nice card, Alison! I would not have thought to use pastels with that set, so i'm glad you thought of it so i can CASE your idea!
I'm also very impressed that you got out of your brown comfort zone for this one...
You make me want to haul out all of my card-making things and just get stuck right in! Instead I am crochet'ing! haha... It's a compromise. But at least it's creative for now, while I'm packing up house.
What a pretty card, love that stamp
